Our Youth Sailing Program offers sailors of all skill levels a fun, safe, and supportive environment to learn and grow on beautiful Monterey Bay. Guided by passionate and experienced volunteers, we help young sailors build confidence, teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills — while fostering a lifelong love of sailing.

The Junior Program is excited to launch a new Adult Sailing Class this spring! Open to all skill levels — from complete beginners to experienced sailors looking to refine their technique or try dinghy sailing — this course features hands-on instruction in our fleet of FJs (Flying Juniors).
Dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 4/12, 4/19
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Fee: $580 (discount for SCYC members)

Santa Cruz Junior Sailors Sweep the Podium in Tiburon

SANTA CRUZ, CA — The junior sailors of the Santa Cruz Yacht Club (SCYC) recently proved that their year-round training pays off, delivering a dominant performance at the Bay Area Youth Sailing (BAYS) competition hosted by the San Francisco Yacht Club in Tiburon. Despite the "tricky" and shifty wind conditions typical of the San Francisco Bay, the Santa Cruz team rose to the challenge, showcasing the technical skill and grit that has become a hallmark of the local program.
